One of the greatest privileges of my life was that I was on shift on BBC World that day - this was our show. Behind the scenes were were all screaming at our monitors, blind with tears of laughter, completely incapable of saying or doing anything for a full ten minutes.

@stacymcanulty @Mrs_Ennis_OMS My teaching super power would be a combo of empathy and creating engaging lessons. (Fueled by coffee, of course!) My 6th graders would love this! #6thgradereading
@NicholasFerroni 6th grade, Mrs. McLain. She had been a nurse in WWII and made us learn about the world and history. I know countries, capitals and locations, thanks to her. I also helped build a model of a medieval castle and discovered history was fun.
@baddestmamajama Can I just add that it gets worse when you’re 5’10” and wear a 12 shoe? Try finding nice women’s clothes that are long enough at a reasonable price. That “just shop online” suggestion? That’s like Russian roulette with sizing. No two 16s are cut the same.
@Teachr4 I’ve used 3x5 note cards before with HS struggling writers to only focus a paragraph at a time. You can get down what you want to say in chunks and then rearrange before committing to paper.
@ellen_em_dee @EduCelebrity I don’t know, they certainly can be handy for a sub in an emergency. You don’t have to spend an hour explaining what you personally would have taught and modeled on a normal day, while you are either sick or needing to be with someone who is. #beenthere
