Over the past three weeks students wrote narratives about a famous, impactful artist and put on an amazing Living Wax Museum event for our families @HoneygoElem So proud of their writing and creative efforts!

The @BCPS_Starlab visited @HoneygoElem this month, we used some extra time for an inquiry project based on what we saw. Students had the opportunity to research present additional information they were wondering about after the star lab visit! I ❤️’d learning from them!

How cool! We officially (almost) got responses back from the historical societies we wrote to during our #HMH Wild Wild West Unit! Whether it was email or snail mail we’ve had so much fun reading the responses from “real historical researchers!” @HoneygoElem

A hot cocoa cheers to ending 2023 as a class family- to finishing module 4 *in time*, seeing improvement in our writing, becoming more independent learners, and *hopefully* staying focused through two more days of assessments!!! 🙃☺️❤️

5th grade has been in the Wild Wild West these past two weeks and loving it! Our interactive gallery wall has grown with higher-level questioning through analyzing text features and adding our own images with vocabulary filled captions. @HoneygoElem @BCPS_ELA

Coordinates popped up in our Number Corner discussions… so we connected x and y coordinates to Battleship! After a few minutes of practice each morning we no longer mix up x and y 🙃
