Our amazing @YoungSTEMLeaderโs have been running lunchtime clubs for children throughout the school. The P4/3 children loved creating volcanoes and watching them explode! @STEMglasgow@BarmullochP
Another fantastic afternoon celebrating STEM, led by our Young STEM leaders. I am amazed at how inspiring and engaging our YSL are! @BarmullochP@YoungSTEMLeader
P2/1 were planting bean seeds to investigate the different stages of growth. We also looked at what a plant needs to grow. We are looking forward to watching them! ๐ฑ @BarmullochP#BSW22
P6/5 made models of the heart to show how blood is pumped around the body. Think we might need to work on our camera skills. ๐คฃ๐ซ๐งช @BarmullochP#BSW22

P6/5 have been learning about the ear. They made a model of the ear and were able to identify the different parts. We watched as the sound travelled through the ear and saw the vibrations making the water move. @BarmullochP
Today P6/5 were learning about the ear. They were identifying different parts of the ear and experimenting with sound direction and distance. @STEMglasgow@BarmullochP
P2/1 have been learning about forces. The children made ramps of different sizes, and using different surface materials to see if the changes affected the speed of the toy car. @BarmullochP@STEMglasgow
P6/5 have been learning about the nervous system and how their senses work individually and together through a variety of investigations. @BarmullochP@YoungSTEMLeader@STEMglasgow
Thank you so much to @SmartSTEMs for a fantastic workshop today! The children learned so much about the different job opportunities within STEM, and even got a chance to ask questions to a variety of speakers. The paper plate challenge was also so much fun! @BarmullochP
