After we'd tasted some scones this morning, we decided that we wanted to make some of our own. First we had to make a list of ingredients, then we had to go to the shops to buy everything that we needed. The first group did a FANTASTIC job, they were YUMMY! @MrsCrook2 @RecBps

Today, Red Group found out that the Queen loves to eat scones. We weren't sure what they were so Mrs Crook let us taste some with jam and cream - we LOVED them! @MrsCrook2 @RecBps 🫅

Today Reception had some very important visitors from our community - Firemen Tom, Ian and Jack! They taught us all about their job. Unfortunately, they got called away on a real emergency - we hope everyone is ok. @MrsCrook2 @RecBps @WithingtonFire

Red Group have really enjoyed dressing up as 'people in our community' today. We had doctors, mechanics, bank managers, teachers, vets and many more! 😍 @MrsCrook2 @RecBps

Today, we had a suprise visit from Floppy - Hoppy's mum. She'd written us a letter as she couldn't find him anywhere and was VERY worried!
We replied saying we'd found him yesterday and that he was fine. Then we read the story telling us what he had found! @MrsCrook2 @RecBps 🐰

Reception Red Group really enjoyed a great visit from Ifeoma Onyefulu as part of our World Book Day celebrations.

We listened to her stories and drew some pictures of our favourite animals from the stories we had heard.

Today Red Group talked about and tried on different hats from around the world. We looked at a Fez (Morocco), Sombrero (Mexico) and a Cowboy hat (America) amongst others.

Today Red Group found a locked treasure chest in our room. The note on it asked us to show how good we were at counting forwards and backwards to 10. Then we had to find the key to open the box and our reward was inside.....choccy coins for us all!!!!! 🙌🍫 @MrsCrook2 @RecBps
