2D students worked very hard building baskets in their engineering class with Mr. O! Today they tested out their building skills to see how many apples they could hold. Our winning group held the max number of 8 apples! Great job engineers!!
Scientists at work! Next up: Rain Weathering! Students got to explore what happens to skittles when exposed to too much water: they learned how water can break down rock- even completely dissolve it when left over night!
We are working on our weather and erosion unit in science! Students practiced shaking sugar cubes which acted as “wind”! They loved seeing the difference before wind and after! 🪨💨
To spread some love on Valentine’s Day this year, 2D students created kindness plates! Each student went around and wrote 1 compliment on each others plates. Now every time they look at this, they can be reminded how amazingly unique they all truly are! 🤍
Wrapping up Unit 2 in ELA with our tree bark project! During this Unit, we learned all about patterns in nature so students are doing some tree rubbings to explore different bark patterns!
To end our habitat unit in science, 2D students LOVED making their very own habitat models! They even got to share all of their hard work with 2I students! Way to go, scientists!!
