Over the last 3 days, we sent 40 educators to the Response to Intervention Conference. The team got to learn from some of the best, learning about new systems & practices to increase student support, and achievement to ensure all of our students can learn at high levels. #NPGreat
Teachers do not create achievement gaps… systems do! @PaulaMaeker So grateful to be learning how to rebuild a system ALL students can succeed in! @SolutionTree
Today is the day we say goodbye to the 2019-2020 school year. My class was able to come together to create this video to say one more thing to their classmates in hopes to have some closure. @NorthPolkCSD#NPCometPride#NPCometStrong https://t.co/4AQsIyrAfc
https://t.co/G6yEZaxIuq.Ever! I am so blessed!! Never in a million years would I have thought when I got out of the shower this morning that I would be showered with more love from my 2nd grade families! Thank you so much 2D families!! https://t.co/BZi5ni5fEf #NPComets
@marandavc A.7: A take-away for me is the Daily Quarantine Question list! This would be great to put into action every morning to keep me positive during this hard time! #NPMentorChat
@marandavc A.6: I would say Zoom has been the best resource I have shared with parents so far. Being able to stay connected with my students and getting to see and interact with them has been huge. It helps give my students a little normalcy in all of this! #NPMentorChat
@marandavc A.5: #3 has been the easiest so far. With kids, we have got to get out of the house! So we go on walks or play outside everyday. #6 has been the hardest. I am a stress-eater... enough said. #NPMentorChat
@marandavc A.4: I think a big gap is the technology aspect of all of this. It has been challenging trying to connect with students through zoom, class dojo, etc when students don't have enough devices at home or do not have internet. #NPMentorChat
@marandavc A.3: I used to think having everything planned for the week was important. Now I think that it is ok to take things day by day. This time home has allowed me to become more reflective and I have realized that it is ok to not have everything in place! #NPMentorChat
A2: The Teacher Parades have been the highlight of all of this so far! They brought me so much joy! Being able to get outside has also helped fill the soul! #NPMentorChat
@marandavc Q1: It has impacted me both ways. Personally, I am a mom trying to balance teaching my K and chasing my 1 year old around. Professionally - I feel like I can't do my job effectively. I try to connect with students but I miss the ability to be able to teach them! #NPMentorChat
@marandavc Hello! My name is Amy and I teach 2nd grade at West Elementary. What I miss most is getting to see my students and colleagues everyday! I miss the social aspect of being a teacher! #NPMentorChat
@marandavc A3: Always have a back-up plan! I think the biggest tech issue is when we have wifi issues and nothing works! This always seems to happen during my math rotations! :) By having other activities/ideas to keep the Ss engaged is vital from having a whole class meltdown #NPMentorChat
@marandavc A2: Honestly, I have found other tech tools through the teachers I follow through social media. Most of them write blog posts and share tons of information about them which allows others to use it in their classrooms easily and efficiently! #NPMentorChat
@marandavc A.1 I am hoping to incorporate these strategies more next year when we are 2-to-1 to help engage my students and prepare them for the future with 21st century skills! #NPMentorChat
