What a fun filled week in P1! A trip to the pantomime, our Christmas lunch and 3 fantastic Nativity performances to our school friends and families. We said goodbye to Mr Qadir and wished him the best in future placements @airthprimary

Another busy week in P1. We had a Christmas themed input from Gareth at YMI. We took our learning outdoors to make and add values together. Our Christmas enterprise was great fun. What will we spend our profit on? @airthprimary

Our snapshot for this week! P1 made poppies as we learned about Armistice Day. We worked with a partner to make and spell words outdoors. Our buddies joined us at the park for wellbeing time and we had a fun exciting visit from the police. @airthprimary

Our highlights. Halloween fun in class 🎃👻. Louise from @DogsTrust came in to visit us and we spoke about caring for dogs and the importance of giving dogs space. We learned about Diwali and the festival of light. We even made our own diyas to take home next week. @airthprimary

Thank you to Lisa from @NHSChildsmile for visiting us and explaining the importance of tooth brushing. We had a successful stay and play 😊 We have been learning about keeping a beat with Mr Irvine. Have a lovely October break P1, thank you for an amazing 1st term @airthprimary

Good talking & listening in our surgery this week 🩻🩺🥼. Problem solving skills were applied in making a pulley for Spider-Man to drop into his friend’s homes. We made play dough and created some delicious meals adding detail to each meal. We explored our spooky open area 🎃👻

First meeting of our Glee choir yesterday was inspiring! #thisisglee @MrsGallAPS @airthprimary We learned what our songs were and sang them for the first time. Lyrics handed out to learn- can't wait to see what happens next week!

Maths week Scotland was a focus in P1! We went on a number hunt and smashed our counting from 0-20 time of 47 seconds to just 15 🥳 We met Jan the lollipop lady and asked her questions. In PE we worked on our listening skills and some were very creative during play @airthprimary

A big outdoor focus this week where we explored making values and repeat patterns using loose parts. We also played fastest person to the word/sound outdoors. Another focus on turn taking games as well as exploring floating and slinking where we had to predict @airthprimary

Another busy week in P1! We have asked to learn about pirates and gathered our I wonder questions. Lots of fine motor skills work including cutting this week🏴‍☠️. We took books home from our school library and explored our local park @airthprimary

Our Snapshot 📸 P1 have focussed on rhyme this week and are trying to identify rhyming words. We are becoming experts at the numbers 0 and 1 and have had a focus on turn taking and listening and talking games. What a productive week ☺️ Well done P1 👏 @airthprimary
