After exploring @gfletchy cubes image talk, we set the stage to explore: I grabbed 1 more red than yellow, how many could I grab? Students made conclusions that the answers will always be odd, yellow will always be one less and want to explore what happens with 2 more tomorrow!

After our @gfletchy fluency kit image talk with peppers, we explored if there was other ways we could arrange the 10 peppers - it was a student idea to use our red and yellow counters to show their thinking.
