Popsicles for passing the OST with flying colors! 👏🏻🥳 Getting out of the car, Lucas said, “This will be fun mom, but also sad because I’m going to have to leave them again.” Thankful for excellent educators, like Mrs. D, that make it so much more than the test.#morethanatest
The research is clear: Let the children play—and not just during the summertime! If you want smart, healthy, well-rounded children, it pays to invest in recess.
Thanks for a great week of camp @FirebirdHoops!! Thankful for the dedication and time the coaches and high school students put into all of the youth camps! 👏🏻👏🏻

The last three evenings were GREAT with this group of K-2 Firebirds.
They exemplified our core values of being unified, disciplined, grateful, and tough.
Bright future!

‼️Why Kids Quit Sports‼️
70% of children are dropping out of organized sports by the age of 13.
5 main reasons:
1. It’s no longer fun.
2. They have lost ownership of the experience.
3. They don’t get playing time.
4. They are afraid to make mistakes.
5. They feel disrespected.
Therefore…it is our obligation as coaches, parents, and adults to:
1. Create life-giving experience.
2. Instill a “Get to vs. Have to” mentality.
3. Set up value system not based on playing time.
4. Encourage risk…”If you aren’t making mistakes, you aren’t doing anything.”
5. Love BIG!
KCS Transportation, in partnership with Kettering Fire, Kettering Health Network and Med Flight, will be conducting mock-accident training, Wed AM, at our Bus Garage for bus drivers who transport our students with special needs to and from school and field trips. #WeAreFirebirds
Experienced “last day of school” for the first time at the elementary level today.
It was beautiful.
The relationships teachers build with kids for an entire year, all day long, is really just incomprehensible. 💙 #wearefirebirds
This crowd. This community. 💙It was so cool to see everyone come out to support this great team and cheer them on to a win! This field will never see the class of 2023 again. What an impact they’ve made on this program! On to district finals. 👏🏻👏🏻
With today’s 11-0, 6 inning victory over Wayne, the Firebirds are the outright 2023 @GWOC Baseball Champions with a 12-2 in-conference record!
