Growing up in Korea and America gave me a perspective I only realized as an adult.
I’ve seen both extremes.

My parents pushed hard, sometimes too hard.

But watching the next generation now, I’m seeing the opposite problem: kids wrapped in so much protection they’ve becoming fragile.

Jordan Peterson has this rule: do not bother children when they are skateboarding.

It’s not about neglect. It’s about understanding that struggle and small failures are how we build self-reliance.

Kids need to fall, mess up, learn from it. That’s not cruelty.
That’s love.

The sweetest thing you can do for your kid isn’t shielding them from everything. It’s teaching them they can handle hard things.
