@kathyhen_ Because it fits much easier into the skills they have: base ten. Fractions are functionally base 2,3 etc. also, it doesn’t connect to really life as readily
I’ve been using this puzzle for several years. It usually takes 35+ minutes. These Wonderful Wolves finished it in about 13 minutes! Looking forward to so many great things from my students this year!#neverstophowling
