🚨🗣️ 𝗡𝗘𝗪: Wayne Rooney: “One came on for 20 minutes and changed the entire game. The other started and held his team back.”
“People keep telling me football is about reputation. No, its about impact.
Look at the difference. Messi comes on with 20 minutes left and completely changes the game. One penalty, one goal, defense-splitting passes, involvement in the build-up, leadership, composure. Argentina instantly looked sharper, more fluid, more ruthless. That’s what greatness is. You don’t need 90 minutes to dominate a match when your football brain is operating two steps ahead of everyone else.
Now look at Ronaldo. Portugal controlled possession, created chances, had the game where they wanted it, but their attack looked blunt. Missed chances, poor decisions, shots when simple passes were available, free-kick into the wall, an offside goal, and then he’s off at halftime. The uncomfortable truth is Portugal looked more cohesive, more dynamic, and more dangerous after he left the pitch.
If Portugal are serious about going deep in this tournament, they need to stop making decisions based on history. Ronaldo’s legacy is untouchable, but trophies aren’t won with memories. Right now, he looks more like a luxury than a necessity.
The difference between Messi and Ronaldo at this stage isn’t talent. It’s adaptation. One accepts what the game needs. The other still wants the game to revolve around him.
And before Ronaldo fans get angry, ask yourselves one question: if his name wasn’t Cristiano Ronaldo, would he still be starting?”
Highguard, a game with paid microtransactions, is being disabled. I'm glad I'm not collecting signatures for SKG anymore, since some people would equate game quality with whether you're entitled to consumer rights or not, not seeing the broader problem.

The development team behind Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 have been given the status of Knight under the French Order of Arts and Letters, in recognition of their significant contribution to the country's art and culture. https://t.co/L6sCLmUoU9
Every three months we gather up to discuss the state of the game. It takes us 4 long days just to go through the features and their status, and that's not even looking at the content. There everything is in the thousands or sometimes even hundreds of thousands. The reason of course is the permutations that come out of player choice, both story wise and systems wise. Every time I'm intimidated by how long the lists of tasks are that need to be done to support all that freedom.
But the thing that struck me the most this time is the amount of support structure we had to build just to be able to do all of this and how important the people running it are. Many of them are fans of what we make and so they take great care to ensure everything is done really well. It gives you warm feelings to see how much effort they put in because they know that somehow at some point it'll all make a difference. They love the team fiercely and go above and beyond to take care of them.
Every developer has other people behind them that let them do their jobs and they're very often forgotten. They're unsung heroes who deserve to be applauded because whenever you see a great piece of work, it's because there was a group of them that ensured the infrastructure was there to make that work in the first place.
From the office manager walking in and causing a stampede by saying "ice-cream" or the legal team sitting down beyond their hours to assist a dev with his traffic tickets or the building logistics team fighting with a carpenter just to ensure something is done propely, there's a reason developers include all of their operations staff in the credits and this is it.
