@educator4ever36 Every action has a consequence. So if the action is to take a student out of school for vacation, the consequence is they will not learn what is taught. Performance and grade will likely suffer.
@mostlypeaceful According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, 88.1% of homicides with firearm are committed by men. Pretty sure we have to disqualify all men from having a firearm no matter how they identify.

@e_spurling @sassistheword @waitmanb Human growth and development, learning disabilities, teaching strategies for various learners, assessment, social/emotional growth, classroom management, etc on top of content knowledge. Homeschooling is vastly different than public school.
@Prof_Katz There’s many ways to deal with this. Classrooms can have a designated spot for phones. Kids drop them off and pick them up at the beginning and end of class. Purchase the magnetic pockets, keep phones in lockers. We fail kids by doing nothing though.
