Toxic positivity can be a dangerous thing, especially during this pandemic. As much as I try to have a positive outlook, I need to remind myself that it is okay to feel sad and bogged down at times. We need to allow ourselves and others to feel our emotions, good or bad.

Often times these critical subjects are just tossed to the side and not treated with the same value and importance as other subjects. This way of thinking needs to change. Seeing that now during these times especially, and it is very disheartening.

Recess, play, PE, & the Arts are not just important for children to grow emotionally, socially, and academically, but for some students these may be the main or only reason they enjoy coming to school.
