@RogersHistory 16 years and still love it. Change things up to keep it exciting. I taught primary for 15 years and needed a change. So now teach maths in secondary and I love it.

@pastelteacher 100% agree - the statements for GDS are so vague and open to interpretation. Year 6 is fab but so demanding.
I have since taken my primary knowledge and moved to teaching secondary.
It’s def easier just doing one subject XX

@pastelteacher I had year 6 moderation last year and the threshold for GD is insane. She is good but the verb choices at times are not strong enough. I think what’s expected is work beyond their years. Choices that come with further life experiences and maturity. You are clearly a fab teacher x

@pastelteacher Honestly you have done a wonderful job. Writing is about loving what you write about and your ideas and imagination. These r skills you have empowered her with and that is so much more valuable to her and she moves to secondary school xx
