Working on crafting explanations of what we see while experimenting with hot and cold water molecules❤️Had fun connecting this to what we already know about thermal energy!!!
@Christie_Aileen Agree w/making it count! I mention the last days as a motivator signaling the amount of time we have left to keep-our-head-in-the- game and making sure they realize that we are still learning things that are crucial for what they will encounter next year and into HS. Still in it!
That’s where it all gets fun and deep and rich ✨ not just in Math though- in all of the things! Am I right? Here’s to not getting boxed in🎉✨#learn#grow#digdeep#mathrocks
@Christie_Aileen It’s been an awesome way for a quick check for understanding and bonding between students which I didn’t see coming! Doesn’t work for all, especially if you want to see whole process in their work but for quick checks, it could be an option.
@Christie_Aileen The students have started cheering others on and I read aloud what they say to each other. “We got this.” “Great job.” For students who miss the answer, I’ve been saying, “close, but try again.” Then other students start writing “don’t give up.” “You got this!”
