We had the best time at the Da Vinci Science Center on Friday! Thank you to our amazing PTO for helping make this happen! We appreciate you more then you know. @ojrsdnc@nc_pto
@ojrsdnc students participated in Fire Prevention Day with our friends from The North Coventry Fire Department. Students learned about fire safety and later joined firefighters for stories, games and lunch. Students can’t wait for their new friends to visit again!
Today we learned about the scientific method. We put it into practice by seeing how many drops of water can fit on a penny. Our hypotheses ranged from 1-12 drops. We were shocked to find a penny can hold about 23-27 drops of water. @ojrsdnc@Ojrscience
One of the best and most inspiring parts of my job - meeting with 2nd grade students @ojrsdnc this afternoon. We read "Elephants Cannot Dance!" and I was able to answer all their great questions about leadership (and pizza). #OwenJAllTheWay
Today these amazing 2nd graders learned how to play the game “I Spy a Snap Word.” It was a fun way to review the words we should know in a “snap” #2ndgradesthebest@ojrsdnc
Today Dr. Stout visited North Coventry to answer questions from second graders about what it’s like to be a leader. He even read us one of our favorite books! Thank you Dr. Stout for answering all our questions! We hope you’ll come back and visit again soon. @ojrsdnc@supt_ojrsd
Mrs. Esposito visited 2nd grade to talk about leadership today. She answered some of our leadership questions and even read us a story with a great message. Thank you, Mrs. Esposito! @ojrsdnc
Our star of the week had a special guest reader come in and read us one of her favorite Dr. Seuss books. Thank you for sharing your love of books with us! @ojrsdnc
