Thank you again @joboaler and #youcubed for this deep maths question. 11 am question posed, asked for ONLY a portion of the entire problem. One student found me over the lunch hour with this work. Covered sections to hide answers. โค๏ธ the #criticalthinking @WinnipegSD @tecvocwpg
@joboaler@timchartier Also, look the sheep in the eye when you are talking to him. It seemed you were looking over him. I'm sure acting with puppets was not something you intended to do in your career and you did great!
@joboaler@timchartier Well done and cute! Kids may need to watch it a couple times to really understand, and because it's short re-watching is doable. I agree with the other commentor who pointed out that the two-thirds represented as shaded boxes should be connected to create a whole.
@joboaler thank you for sharing your fabulous collection of rich tasks at #youcubed. These students visually looked for ways to see the growth. They used colour to illustrate and explain the patterns they discovered. Gr 7 & 8 Elmwood HS @WinnipegSD They solved the nth! โค๏ธ
@FaithFundal That interview really bugged me. It's a pet preve of mind when people of an older generation assume early years educators are not teaching cursive writing. THEY ARE!!! When asked the expert used words like "likely not" and "I bet not" taught in schools.
