After 8 years in kindergarten, I shifted to a new role this year as a reading specialist. 📚 Over the past several weeks my groups have worked on chaining CVC words, reading/analyzing texts, and even dabbled with RACE car writing. So proud of how much they’ve grown! @csasyracuse

It’s been wonderful this week to have a 6th grade leader! Luli comes in everyday during our cozy time and reads with a group of students. Today, I even heard her previewing the book with her group as she asked them, “What do you think this book will be about?”📚

We’ve been working hard in KA to read and write our sight words! Of course our @sascitizenship kinders LOVE to use @PlayDoh to build these super important words, but we also love to spin, read, and write phrases during our @Amplify skills lessons! 📝

This afternoon we introduced a new time of our day called Cozy Time! During cozy time we get to practice sight words, read to our pets, and read our new @FountasPinnell books with a teacher. It sure is special to cozy up with a good book. 🔥📚
