Update @EanesISD - Electricity is restored at all facilities EXCEPT Westlake HS, Eanes Elem., Admin & Aquatics centers. Boil water notice remains. Some families and staff are still without water or electricity. Expect progress on Sunday; optimistic all schools will reopen Monday.

Jennifer White, campus TA @VVEcardinals is also a college & high school basketball referee. She played and coached for three NCAA National championship teams at Louisiana Tech in the 1980s. But today her dancing, infectious sense of humor and optimism exemplify fun @EanesISD

A first grader had a great question today, “So, Mrs.Smoland, how tall are you? Are you 10 feet?”

This obviously led to a need for a ruler, and an important math problem with some hands-on learning.

Staff and students were cheerful despite a torrential downpour at dismissal. We need the rain so no one seemed to care @vvecardinals or @eemustangs . Thanks to Asst. Supt. Jeremy Trimble, who helped load buses in the deluge @eanesisd and probably ruined his new school shoes😓.
