The past three weeks have been big for me! My goal was to finish my masters before having children...well my daughter had other plans and came two weeks before graduation. We celebrated as a family of three last Sunday (two Carolina alumni and one future gamecock) #forevertothee
@k_fultonthomas 😂 I figured! There was a lot of hand holding! I let them choose what they were writing a check for and some of them had the funniest answers! At least they’re engaged!

THIS. I’m going to print this out and stick it right next to my desk. It should always be the focus, but this year especially. Thanks, @edutopia for this great reminder. #ForTheKids
My high for today was getting to have a really great conversation with my students about genres! 😁
My low was having to turn down a hug from one of my kiddos ☹️

Goals completed today: safeschools videos done, nursery finished, grocery list/meal plan for the next two week written, determine which clothes I can actually wear to work still, various documents created for students/parents, planner set up. #gettingthingsdone
Not sure what I loved about this book more: that my students will get to read a book about someone who looks like them, or that it takes place in Portland (where I grew up)and references some of my favorite things! #windowsandmirrors#waystomakesunshine#teachersummer
I absolutely LOVE the people I work with. We are truly like a family! I cant imagine how I would have gotten through my first few years of teaching without the encouragement and support of my amazing school! #TeacherFriends
