We need to have a serious conversation as an industry about reschedules in collegiate esports. This is the regular season stats for my program this semester and an almost 30% reschedule rate is frankly unacceptable for varsity competition. This is even with our 1 week policy

Love this - at the HS level I’d rather not field a team for the season over having an unreliable team of players who reschedule one or more times and THEN forfeit. We allowed that one year. Never again.

This sounds like such a low bar, but in the last 10 years we have yet to hit it. My KPI for this project is how easy it is for our player's parents, classmates, admins to follow the team.

We must respect the time of the people that want to support esports. No reschedules, no forfeits, mandatory content from members weekly. Ideas are just ideas without intentionality. We want to be intentional.
