Excited to see our kids compete against programs with great tradition! Will be a lot of fun.

Thank you to the National Society of Professional Surveyors & Mr. Jason Bailey for providing some great information on the surveying profession to our students. PHS had 11 fantastic students participate in the NSPS sponsored Trig-STAR contest this morning.
Really interesting discussion going on in this thread with a lot of good resources! I’ve been thinking that there has to be a way to leverage AI as an educational resource rather than just another cheating method. Looking forward to considering this in my eng classes next year.
Anyone have any good resources on AI? Particularly ChatGPT? I want to learn more… specifically on how we might use it to our advantage in Edu. #ChatGPT#edu#edutwitter#teachertwitter
I have students who speak English, Spanish, and Arabic as a first language. We are going to pretend that my Spanish grammar is perfect and my Arabic lettering is not an absolute disaster. 😉 #RelationshipsMatter#MultilingualLearners
I’m laughing out loud because I have had this exact conversation with an AP physics class. I did not know the answer, but we DID experimentally determine the approximate specific heat capacity of a boneless skinless chicken breast. I can smell this memory. 😂😂
My students laughed at me when I told them that the only complete sentence I can say in Spanish (…yet! I am learning!) is “¿Donde está la biblioteca?” Glad to know it really may come in handy one day 😂😂
The trendy new thing for kids to do during occasional moments of downtime in my classroom is to play boisterous, cutthroat games of chess with the set I have in here. I’m both extremely confused and grateful that at least they don’t have their phones in their hands. #teacherlife
There are not a ton of throwback hip hop lyrics that are school appropriate, but when I bust them out, they disappear especially quickly from the “take what you need” board outside my classroom.
I’m pretty sure just about any educator can empathize with US House Clerk Cheryl Johnson as we have all made this exact facial expression “a few” times. #illjustwaittilitsquiet#teachertwitter
