@FinPlanKaluAja1 While that is true, it doesn't make the explanation invalid. I was more interested in gdp per capita which is a relative metric i.e actually gives insight.
Anyways, think of it this way, as a financial adviser would you lend to Nigeria or South Africa?
@FinPlanKaluAja1 Well I won't say Nigeria's gdp is larger than south Africa's. Theres a reason they are in BRICS.
