@thisiskp_ I am sure the product is absolutely amazing, perfect PMF, the best possible time in history to be in that space with a great offer, super high growth (linked to previous point) but 80x revenue multiple? Are they expecting 500% growth next year? Am I the only one frowning at that?
@sshrkey This paper highlights the role of luck vs talent in career success. https://t.co/w3lpyVt2gD
In general using OUTCOME BIAS + SELF-SERVING BIAS gets you to think successful people are somewhat better at things. In most cases, they aren't.
@sshrkey I think even in the micro picture outcomes are never uncorrelated with luck. Careers are notoriously luck-dependent (e.g. "right place at the right time", etc.). I know a lot of very successful people that are average professionals with average skills.π
@VodafoneUK is there a broadband problem in London, NW3? Since last night at about midnight the internet is playing up and is creating considerable issues for me. Can you please advise?
@StonkTime@AscendantPower Ultimately it's always supply and demand in a market. I think the real problem today is not retail investors but overall governments/central banks-induced artificial demand. The current situation seems unsustainable long term, which will bring trouble.
New study shows that money DO indeed make you happy... Apparently there is a pretty direct correlation between income and experienced well-being, contradicting the old adage... π

@azeem This feels about right in London, anecdotally. Most shops are open, tube station still open (was shut last March), I keep fearing this is not going to be enough (or quick enough)
@jasonlk I feel you're massively over simplifying. How many startups get to 10m with 100% growth? Also, how much equity do you have left by then, as a founder? We romanticise too much the idea of the successful startup that makes money for their founder, it doesn't happen that often.
"...and it is believed it was in the latter part of December 2020 that extra-terrestrial forms of life first arrived on our planet, before starting its full colonisation in 2021..."
A very bright fireball has lit up the sky in Yushu City, China on December 23. Chinaβs Earthquake Networks Center reported a suspected bolide landing near the border between Nangqian and Yusu County, but no one was injured https://t.co/4CfJRYEnN4 [videos: https://t.co/B5j4lCLnOq]
