Even though I have been working hard with my team and my medical staff, we have now had to make the difficult decision that I will not be able to compete at the US Open this year. We have been back on court in Monte Carlo over the last couple of days and have realised that I still need more time to recover from my right knee issue. I’m obviously very sad and disappointed, as New York has a special place in my heart. I was very much looking forward to coming back and playing in the electric atmosphere in front of the great fans there. ❤️
The U.S. Open is owned by the USTA which is a non-profit. The idea that a day one ground pass is $363 is absurd. The USTA’s mission is to promote the sport of tennis. How is a $363 ground pass consistent with this mission?
@KDTrey5 "I don’t care what happens, can’t erase what it was…The first YNs, finals run in our early 20s, all star games, seeing each other get injured and bounce back, the bus rides, plane rides, card games, jokes and arguments, the whole thing, memorable"
Adam Silver calls Giannis’s investment in Kalshi “minuscule” and “much smaller than 1%”
Kalshi is worth $11 Billion.
Giannis is allowed to own up to 1% under NBA rules.
1% of Kalshi is worth $110,000,000.
0.5% of Kalshi is worth $55,000,000
Im stunned and heartbroken. Damian was a friend, a fellow tennis super fan, and above all, an incredible person. His passion for the sport + for promoting players who didnt have the platform they deserved did so much good for tennis. CH tennis coverage will never be the same. RIP
