You cannot:
Work full time, raise children, keep a spotless home, show up fully in your marriage, maintain friendships, stay fit, build wealth, read books, pursue hobbies, serve only home cooked meals, answer every email, and still make the 3:30 school pickup.
That standard was created to keep you exhausted and blaming yourself. Let it go.
I saved for months to attend a Christian conference where my favorite preacher was ministering.
Not just any seat.
Front row.
Close enough to hear every word clearly.
Before the session started, a lady tapped my shoulder.
“Hi,” she smiled softly. “My church group is seated here, but my ticket is for the overflow hall downstairs.
Would you mind swapping with me?”
I looked at her badge, then mine.
“I’m really sorry,” I said kindly, “but I sacrificed a lot to be here.”
Her expression changed immediately.
She turned to her friends and said loudly,
“Imagine coming to a Christian gathering and refusing to show love.”
Another girl added,
“We’re believers.
Why are Christians so selfish these days?”
I stayed quiet for a moment, then replied gently:
“If giving away a seat is the loving thing to do, why doesn’t one of you swap with her and sit downstairs?”
Silence.
Nobody moved.
Nobody volunteered.
And in that moment, I learned something important:
Many people admire sacrifice when it costs someone else.
But wisdom is knowing that saying “no” does not make you less like Christ.
I’m sorry but I won’t get tired of talking of about the kidnapped kids and we shouldn’t tooo
Peoples mom and kids are inside this rain too
I hate this country
Tonight makes it the 6th night since small children and school teachers were kidnapped. APC GOVERNMENT IS EVIL 💔💔💔💔
Last night, heavy rain fell terribly. Snakes, deadly ants, scorpions all kinds of danger in that bush.
A little baby still being carried on the mother’s back is out there in the wilderness.
Yet, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has slept peacefully for the past six days.
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State and his children have also been sleeping comfortably since this tragedy began.
Meanwhile, innocent families are crying, praying, and living in fear every single minute.
APC government is evil.
If you still think there is hope for Nigeria again… honestly, I pity you.
I think about Mr. Michael Oyedokun often.
I think about his final moments. What went through his mind. How he must have known, like all of us do, that death would come someday, but could never have imagined it would come so violently, so cruelly.
I choose to remember him with
A Hero’s Honour.❤️
A teacher who gave his life in service, raising the next generation. A man who stood in the place of duty and, even in death, remained a symbol of sacrifice.
Please be sad. Please be angry.
And above all, honour him in your hearts.
And for the ones who continue to blab about “dining”, “frolicking “ etc. That’s a delusional narrative for honoring a president’s invite. But if we apply your “Dining” logic broadly to others, your hypocrisy becomes obvious and you will scramble to make excuses.
The truth is I will continue to engage the government wherever necessary because it’s a duty of leadership. Not easy but necessary for the sake of the children and for solutions. Engagement is not endorsement.
My fight is different, and your own fight is valid. But take it to the appropriate quarters and quit wasting your time here.
My oga has said I should leave you people alone now, so, as you were…
