Yesterday, during plenary, I voted in support of the establishment of state police, given that it appears to be one of the most viable solutions to the persistent and escalating security challenges facing our country.
My home state of Katsina, alongside Zamfara, Niger, Sokoto, Kebbi and Kaduna, remains among the states most severely affected by banditry. These attacks have resulted in the loss of countless lives, destruction of livelihoods, and the crippling of economic activities through the disruption of farming and the closure of major markets.
While some colleagues have expressed concerns that state police could be misused by governors to intimidate political opponents and silence critics, the reality is that the safety and security of our people must come first. If state police can help rescue our communities from the current security crisis, then every other concern should be addressed without losing sight of that overriding objective.
May Nigeria succeed!
There're 3 factions in the ADC:
A - Dickson's / Party
B - Obidiots
C - Kwankwasiyya
A & B are already in conflict.
C are unbothered by the drama. They're focused on winning their local elections in Kano while preparing for Kwankwaso’s 2031 presidential ambition, their main game
And what is wrong with that? He has been disrespected enough. Apart from the aspirants storming his private residence in the middle of the night to protest over a primary election they claimed to have won, there are people pushing different types of propaganda against him. Yet you expect him to remain quiet and not defend his name and reputation?

The sheer irresponsibility of desk-bound social media influencers, as we see them here, will one day burn down this country.
People like Dr. Funmilayo, an irresponsible propagandist who was a victim of false allegations, did not learn anything from his ordeal at all.
He was the champion of those fake lists that included Sharia. He should be behind bars if the @OfficialDSSNG knows what they are doing. He should be reported to the UK authorities, and I know, by God’s grace, hands will touch him.
VDM and many other ignoramuses who have jumped on it should also be cautioned. Like I said yesterday, many of these people only have Wikipedia-level understanding of these issues. They are just loud, yet ignorant.
Their own is to use our misfortune to farm engagement. @iamnasboi, your days are numbered on the fake news you have been spreading.
They spun the whole thing against us and our faith. Sharia this, Sharia that…we have explained tire, but it seems they are fixed on what they are doing and their agenda. Unfortunately, the laws you all adopted were what turned and led us to where we are today. After all, democracy have also failed us beyond redemption.
Let me say it once again, nobody is trying to Islamize Nigeria. It's a political agenda. It's a way to unify the Christian voting blocs. They know it's not possible considering our identities, our diversity both on the ethnic and religious lines, yet, they won't stop pushing this dangerous narrative.
I think the government should also invite VDM at this point. It seems he knows what we don’t know.
Lastly, if anything happens to these people due to the complications arising from the irresponsible behavior of Funmilayo, VDM, Nasboi, and their cohorts, the government should not waste time bringing them to their knees.
Very irresponsible lads.
The incompetent @FIFAWorldCup host, USA, is failing to fulfill its responsibilities properly.

I think the issue is that people often reduce Islam to a religion in the modern sense of the word—a set of rituals, beliefs and acts of worship. If that were all Islam was, then perhaps one could say, “I am Yoruba first and Muslim too.” But Islam is much bigger than that.
Being Yoruba tells me my ethnicity. It tells me the language of my ancestors, aspects of my culture, certain customs, histories and social experiences—and all of these are recognized and valued by Islam. But being Yoruba does not tell me why I exist. It does not tell me where I came from before birth or where I am going after death. It does not tell me what the purpose of suffering is. It does not give me a final moral standard by which good and evil are measured. It does not settle questions of worship, law, justice, family, economics, governance, sexuality, death, accountability or the meaning of life itself. Guess what does—Islam, the comprehensive manual to living.
I'll go on and say that Islam is not merely an identity among identities. It is a worldview. It is the lens through which every other identity is understood. That is why a Muslim can proudly be Yoruba, but he cannot place Yoruba above Islam. The reason is not that Yoruba culture is evil or haram. Rather, culture itself has limits. Culture can preserve language, customs and communal bonds, but Islam, by the wisdom of Allah with it, gives those things direction and judges them.
When a cultural practice is good, Islam affirms it. When it is harmful, Islam corrects it. When it is noble, Islam elevates it. When it conflicts with Islamic dictates, Islam replaces it. And in that case, the question will not be whether being Yoruba prevents someone from being a true Muslim. Of course it doesn't. The real question is which identity serves as the foundation for every other identity.
For a Muslim, Islam is the foundation because it answers questions that ethnicity, nationality and culture were never designed to answer. I am Yoruba by ethnicity. I am Muslim by aqeedah (creed and belief), worldview, purpose, allegiance and ultimate identity. One describes where I come from, and the other describes who I am.
I am first and foremost a Muslim. I am an adherent of Islam, an Abrahamic believer, and a Hanif before anything else. Only then am I Yorùbá.
To those who have made it their mission to question the loyalty of Yorùbá Muslims, you may continue your attacks. But know this: for a true Muslim, Islam will always come first. It precedes ethnicity, culture, and nationality because it is the primordial covenant with our Creator.
A Yorùbá Muslim is not conflicted in his identity. He was a Muslim in the divine decree long before he was conceived, and he entered the world as Yorùbá the day he was born to Yorùbá parents. These two identities are not rivals—they are perfectly compatible. One defines his eternal soul and purpose; the other shapes his language, culture, and earthly heritage. Both have their rightful place.
If any Yorùbá Muslim chooses, for whatever reason, to place ethnicity above Islam, then that person has failed to grasp the most fundamental principle of our faith: La ilaha illallah (there is no god but Allah), and nothing has precedence over Him. Such a person's reckoning is with Allah alone.
My identity is clear and unapologetic: Islam first. Always. Everything else follows in its proper order.
As much of a ghost as the PDP is today, it is still more relevant in Kano's neighboring states, such as Jigawa & Katsina, than Kwankwaso's NDC party. This tells you that Kwankwaso's political relevance begins and ends in Kano, just as Sen. Wamako's influence is limited to Sokoto.
Today I had the honor to flag-off the construction of Ingawa township road phase ll which I facilitated through my representation. Kankia and Kusada LGAs had similar projects and with this, I can authoritatively say that the principles of Federal Character have been duly observed.
All thanks to Allah and then to my constituents who gave me the opportunity to serve in this capacity 😁🇳🇬🤝✅
