If you’re still reading — thank you.
If you’ve been there for any part of this journey, I’m grateful.
And if you’re navigating your own silent battle:
I see you. I’m with you. You’re not alone.
✍️ I’ve finally put the full story into words:

20 years ago today, at the age of 15, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis - a chronic & complex neurological disease.
I’ve tried to mark this day each year with some words.
This year, the weight of it feels heavier than ever.
There’s more I’ve never said — until now.
🧵
But still — I’ve kept going. Somehow.
Even on the days it didn’t feel worth it.
Even when I felt like I had nothing left.
Even when I wished I could just press stop.
20 years of MRIs.
Brain’s “fine”.
Also apparently a 35-year-old lady.
Still mislabelled. Still fobbed off.
Living just to reach the end — while professionals disagree or barely listen.
Should feel victorious. Or grateful.
But I don’t.
A small win in a miserable life.
Cheers
Researchers say potential risk factors for MS are EBV infection, obesity, smoking, low Vit D...
But what do YOU think caused ur MS?
A study in @Nature asked. Top 3 answers: Mental distress, Stress & Heredity
For me, I'm sure stress was a trigger.
You?

@mssocietyuk@mssocietyscot Thanks for that. It’s a shame, despite being tagged in numerous tweets on here and posts on Instagram, there has been nothing from @mssocietyscot - including my walking marathon a while ago. Even more so as I raised this issue privately before. This has continued #volunteersweek
On Friday I completed ‘The May 50K’ - a challenge of “walking, running or rolling 50km in May” - with a cumulative 409.2 km (254.3 miles) of walking completed.
Any donations to my long-standing fundraising for @mssocietyscot, would be most appreciated :

@BarneyDBlack Anyway, I guess I need to live what that and that’s not what you messaged for.
I’ll do my best to keep on. And regarding the podcast, my honest gut feeling is it’s not really my thing. Would happily discuss reasons - I’m very much on the fence - would be a good challenge but…
