The 5/6s discussed geometric shapes, patterns & angles. Students created patterns using geometric shapes and 2 different colours. The success criteria for the task was to execute code that involved conditional statements & control structures. #dpmathleads@StAlfred_dpcdsb
Working on probability with the juniors @StAlfred_dpcdsb using #mathup. Very impressed with their probability language and ability to make connections between the probability line and percentages. Some also recognized the fractional relationships #dpmathleads@rubiconpubs
The grade 2s got to meet Pascal from @DiscoveryToys while working on balancing equations. Pascal helped students consolidate the concept of equality as they could identify 2 expressions that were equal to each other but look different. #dpmathleads
