Look at this K student using his writing to share what he’s learned about animal prints in the snow with his peers! What an authentic way of sharing an experience and new learning with others!
Asking authentic questions about authentic work helped me discover a K student’s intricate story about “how harmony was restored by a brave knight and a big ballon filled with peace.”
Had so much fun reading and learning about horned lizards with a K student! He told me all he knew about different reptiles and how they protect themselves from predators, and not a single worksheet in sight 😉

A3 Being able to read and think about the history of the Indian Act and its negative impacts on generations of Indigenous Peoples has helped me to understand why the effects are still being felt to this day. This level of trauma doesn’t disappear overnight. #Shelfietalk
