First week of teaching high school = in the bag! 🎉
The last few days have been exhausting, yet so much fun! I really have the best group of students EVER!
Anyways, I’m going to go take a nap now 😅
I hope everyone’s first week was stellar!
All in the same week, I:
•Social distanced with my friends for the first time this year
•Received my second #COVID19Vaccine
•Found out that I would be completing my PSIII internship at Chinook High School, here in Lethbridge! @ChinookCoyotes
This meme pretty well sums up what it’s been like working in middle school 🤣
I am eagerly waiting for my ✨negative🤞🏽✨ COVID test result so that I can get back into all the craziness!
For this practicum, I’m trying to do what I should have done last semester... focus on my well-being while balancing my practicum work.
Now I’m feeling good and chipping away at my lesson planning with some Gilmore Girls on in the background.
Balance feels pretty good.
I woke up this morning feeling pretty ✨anxious✨ about all of the work I have to do this weekend to get ready for the coming week.
Instead of jumping right in or avoiding the work I had to do, I threw on a pair of running shoes and enjoyed a nice walk this morning #PSII
ED students!! This is an excellent opportunity to get involved with a great organization! The EUS works hard to represent education students at Uleth.
If anyone has any questions about running for a position, shoot me a message!
It’s that time in the semester when all of the PSIIs are anxiously refreshing their emails, waiting to find out about their placements.
If you need me, you’ll find me glued to my inbox.
Making my students DIY glitter ornaments in each of their favourite colours for Christmas! Only a few more to go before painting their initials on.

I have been feeling SO good lately! I feel like I’ve really found my ‘groove’ this week. My lessons have been going SO well, the kids are super engaged, and I’m having SO much fun!
What a change to how anxious and unsure I was just a week or two ago.
