@ken_you_not Or I, as a school librarian have a bs in education and a master’s in library science. While I admit that it felt excessive to get two degrees to get into the field I wanted, I am glad that have the education in both fields because I can look at everything I do from both lenses.
@ken_you_not This is why most librarians have an undergrad degree in whatever their specialization is and the MLS on top of that. The most obvious example of this is at the university level where librarians generally have an undergrad degree in whatever department or field they support.
Creating a better work-life balance is my #1 personal goal this year. I let go of some of my extra commitments so that I can go home at a decent hour and I’m not answering emails in the evening or weekend. (Just have to learn to stop reading them, too.)
