@HallwayHideout This is spot on. I miss students but changing careers has increased my happiness & I’m still helping others, just not in a classroom. Shared it with some teacher friends who needed to really hear this. I can’t imagine the stress of teaching esp with pandemic. Sending love ❤️

To explain that more- The teeth/pelvic injuries have nothing to do with my change of mind in teaching- the traumatic brain injury does. “Invisible” injury b/c we can’t see it but I can feel the affects & a classroom of children would be too overwhelming. I can volunteer though 🙂

Today marks 2 years since the accident. Beyond thankful for finally completing all surgeries from it and my miraculous recovery. Still love my time with children, but have accepted a job with Veterans United as a new career path that suits me better since the injuries. ❣️

And 2 years since we lost my friend Katie from the accident. That pain doesn’t get easier for any of us as we miss that contagious laugh, bright smile and big heart. Sending love to her. 💞

Closing the door on my injuries from the 2019 accident with my last surgery! 🙌🏼Ironically enough, 3 nurses I had in the ICU unit are now at MOI so I saw them again! Amazing women who go above and beyond. Grateful for my recovery, and these ladies. 💞

I am going to miss working with children, they pay attention to little things. The 4yo I nanny surprised me with this yesterday. “It’s things you like! And Josh w/ a hat because he always has one.” 😭❤️ Ocean, animals, food, my boyfriend- she did well! And look at those letters!!

@msconcannonbeu @MidwayEagles Please do!!! I was so proud of what her student wrote to help persuade his parents and they’ve both had such a positive attitude through it all! They even let me help- but I do the little things and they handle both little AND big stuff 😆

2 of the kids I nanny are back in seat at CPS but WOW are they impressing me back at home! They have put together this area and written persuasive letters to their parents to ask for ducks. They’ve put in over 5 hrs so far & done research to ensure they have a good home for them.

I don’t have a classroom to spoil with love, but I’ve got 3 kids that I nanny so they receive the love from me. Spent over an hour watching video tutorials on how to draw these cards because it’s what the kids love! Add in some Candy Factory goodies and Happy Valentines Day 💞
