@united Wrexham fans in America would love it if you could restore your direct Manchester to Washington Dulles service, especially now @manairport has a brilliant new terminal. Won’t you consider? Would be helpful for @ManCity@ManUtd@Everton@LFC fans too.
@United used to fly direct from Dulles to Manchester airport which has train links to @Wrexham_AFC via Chester. @United please consider resuming this service!
If I hadn’t become a chorister at the King’s School in Peterborough I would never have become a politician. It taught me that politics must be about searching for the common ground.
It was a pleasure to go back with the Sunday Times Magazine 👇🏿

We're glad to share the success of our recent consultation series,' The Science of Reading: Challenges and Opportunities' held on June 12, 2024. This event united prominent literacy experts and educators under one roof to facilitate knowledge exchange on the science of reading. This consultation series serves as a platform for sharing diverse perspectives and expert insights through an open dialogue.
During the consultation, participants reflected on the conceptual basis of their work and brought insights from the field to enrich the discourse on how reading is multi-disciplinary in nature. The discussion brought forward debates on the need and potential of the science of reading, nature of evidence, and the importance of having a scientific gaze. From conversations, the scientific gaze at reading emerged as one of the contributors for policy makers/practitioners to envisage reading and reading programs, at scale.
As we look forward to the third part of the consultation series, we are dedicated to advancing this discourse on the science of reading.

@SlavinTeach@ArlingtonVALib @alexlibraryva @Ashlawneagles Thank you Amy! I think the Ashlawn students will love it. Added bonus - proceeds go to setting up libraries in places where access to books is scarce.
Dancing Hands is a beautiful and unique picturebook. Does your public and school library have it? It’s likely on their radar for purchase, but a nudge from a local patron ensures that it is not overlooked. #libraries#multilingual#picturebooks#SignLanguage

“The library is the last lifeline to reading” - I’d add that it’s also their first. @RoomtoRead partners with governments around the world to ensure that young children & their teachers are equipped to read aloud and read alone.#library https://t.co/bbRX9jFTlz
