Sometimes teachers need to be lifted up too. Thanks, Lindblom Ambassadors, for doing just that today. You planned a wonderful Wellness Fair for the @LMSAEagles community!! @kahollerbach and I were so proud of you!! @CPSNetwork16 And, big shout-out to @ecopper3 for collaborating!
Spent the morning with these lovely people...we played a trivia game about one another and spent time sharing the love by complimenting each other/expressing what we missed about one another. I needed this. We're almost there, y'all! @LMSAEagles
#CalebReed was a 17y/o Freedom Fighter who wanted #CopsOutCPS. The movement just lost him to #GunViolence this morning. This tragedy is traumatizing & heartbreaking. We can honor him by continuing the call to end GV & get students resources for healing. RIP

White educators—we see that many of you have (at last) realized anti-Black racism thrives in our schools and in your curriculum. You’re ready to get to work and you’ve ordered your books. As you wait for them to be delivered, here are some past convos that you may find helpful…/
THREAD: I've been trying to process everything that's happened over the past week. I've bounced between anger, hurt, anxiety and numbness. I haven't had the words to express everything I'm feeling. So I turn to the work.
I want to make some things plain. Police violence has historically been the source of the violent rebellions of Black people and their allies. Police violence begets violent resistance. If you want to end the violent resistance, then end the police violence. 1/5
Happy Monday! Can you guess today’s Eagle throwback?! He played 4 varsity sports in high school (& was actually good at 2 of them), was a member of NHS, and was voted most school spirit!! Guess who in the next tweet!
