@Noirchick1 Noel Neill, but I doubt she was one of WW2’s most popular pinups. According to IMDb, many of her wartime film roles were minor or uncredited. Also, her name is not the only one linked to the role of Lois Lane. Trick question.
@ridethepastlane@MichaelTroyan1 I loved her in The Mating of Millie, especially when she ducked into her bedroom to change into something sexy while her date (Glenn Ford) awaited her, tried on various outfits and hairstyles, then emerged in the same suit she’d worn when she went in.
@NYCerInExile And some of us have names that not everybody recognizes as Jewish. I once had a co-worker who began a rant by saying, “I hope you’re not Jewish,” to which I quickly replied, “Yes, I am,” but she ignored that and launched into her offensive anecdote anyway.
@Noirchick1 As a kid, I managed to watch it dozens of times even before the VHS era because WPIX in NYC often showed it twice a day for a full week as part of its “Million Dollar Movie” program. You stopped this scene too soon but thanks.
@daniela__127 I live nearby but never joined. I feel especially bad for the older “no” voters who were eligible to retire from the obligatory work shifts because they already put in so much labor.
@TheDarkPages She was terrific in the film Breaking Away. If you haven’t seen it, you’re in for a treat. Watch for the scene near the end when she removes her husband’s pocket pen holder.
