Simple quiz for school workers - and there could be all sorts of reasons for your answer, which are too many to capture in a poll, so please comment about your feelings.👍
All pupils back tomorrow. Are you looking forward to it? Please RT for a big sample.
100% agree with @Keir_Starmer that schools must stay open. Put teachers, staff and pupils at the front of the queue for testing alongside frontline NHS staff and keep children in school. For disadvantaged children the damage of prolonged school absence will last a lifetime #marr
The fact schools are able to stay open is testament to the fantastic work schools and teachers have taken to make schools Covid secure. Our survey of children showed children were delighted to be back at school, felt safe, and understood all the rules.
Suggestions that schools will stay open during a forthcoming lockdown are very welcome. We've always said that schools should be the last to shut & first to open. It would be a disaster for children's well-being and education if they were to close.
Pleased to update that we've just submitted our proposal for a GCSE in Natural History to the DfE. Thanks to everyone who has helped get us to this point - @curlewcalls@CarolineLucas to name a few! https://t.co/4RqVPbaKuY
Dear Parents; In my humble opinion, now is not the time to bombard your headteacher with complaints. They also have families of their own, lives of their own. They are making high stakes decisions every single day. Please cut them as much slack as you can.
I will not write a letter to my Head saying I will ‘not attend meetings which are planning’ the return of children. Instead, I will offer to do anything I can to help aid them and support where I can during these awful times. It’s not them we should be writing to. @NEUnion
Parents need to hear the message: keep children at home if at all possible. Support the decisions your child's school are making. They are working to keep everyone safe and slow the spread of COVID-19. 3/4
Every Biology teacher across the country is now adding Covid19 into their curriculum for next year.Using infection rate graphs to analyse data, how vaccines are made etc - 'Infection and response' has benefited from real science capital.
@ChrisMoyse From next year, every teacher in the country will begin their intro to mocks with
“And you really must take these seriously. You all remember what happened in 2020?”
It will be this generation of teachers’ version of
“One boy was rocking on his chair and dashed his brains out”
