Second grade got to enjoy some amazing books at Papa Genres Pizzeria today! The pizza boxes were loaded with different toppings (genres), the bread baskets had special pizza bookmarks, and we listened to soft jazz as the students created an enticing pizzeria menu. 🍕📚👩🏻🍳
In addition to these two kiddos’ contagious excitement to borrow the new Taylor Swift books, we also had a friend who was thrilled to celebrate her 8th birthday era in the @SFESLions library today!
It has been so much fun this morning seeing the kiddos back in school and excited about all the new biographies we got from @CapstonePub over break! 📖🤩📚
A new stuffed animal joined the pack in the library today, but what makes this one a little extra special is that it was handmade by me. Happy Thanksgiving, Lions!!! 💚🦁📚
Please spread the word - the @SFESLions Library is looking for volunteers! If interested, please scan the QR code or click the link (https://t.co/jQ0okjZGsy) and sign up! 💚📖🦁📚🤍
It was book care day with 1st grade! We played a sorting game (with a “maybe” area added after we decided we can share books with younger siblings and pets, but we can’t leave our books alone with them). We also got to read A Perfectly Messed Up Story with @novel_effect !
Second grade had a blast today exploring how finding a shirt that fits is just like finding a book that’s just right to read and reading Goldie Socks and the Three Libearians today! Remember - just like with shirts, sometimes you have to try a few books to find the perfect fit.
Sharing some new additions to our library this year -
• An Affirmation Station for when my students need a reminder of just how amazing they all are.
• Library Math w/ signage for how many books have been checked out (still sharing online too). 248 books and counting so far!
Keeping up the tradition of sharing a picture of the first books checked out each year. This day is always one of my favorite days of the school year - first day to borrow books from the library! More pics of my happy readers to come. Happy Reading, Lions! 🤩📚🦁
Hooray! So excited to share this book with my @SFESLions students in its published form. They LOVED the sneak peek in November last year, and I’ve already had a few kiddos ask if I have the 6th book yet!
Hey, @joshfunkbooks ! @SFESLions loved their sneak peek of this awesome new read. Would love to have a copy on hand for the library right away! Hope you are doing well! 😄
Huge news! The *sixth* Lady Pancake & Sir French Toast adventure has landed - so I’m giving away 6 copies of ATTACK OF THE SCONES!

The 2023-2024 school year was definitely one for the books! First in-person author visit, officially over 50 class published books, and lots more fun along the way. Wishing my colleagues and students a fun, safe, and rest-filled summer! 🦁💚📚
⭐️ Here are all of the newest additions to the SFES Library Dojo Wall of Fame! There are 54 new inductees to the wall, the first ever group of first graders to be added, and a new record with one 2nd grade student earning 127 points this year. Congrats to all! ⭐️
This is just a small glimpse into the past week of 2nd grade “Glowing Out In Style”! We had so much fun celebrating all of their accomplishments in Library class over the past two years as these students said goodbye to the Elementary School Library.
Another huge shout out to our outstanding 1st and 2nd grade readers! Here is the official total number of books borrowed from the @SFESLions Library this year - even more than last year’s total. Keep up the great reading this summer!
Congratulations to these @SFESLions Little Lions who remembered to return their library books on time for all of their Library classes this school year! 🦁📖💚
Last week our 2nd graders all received the books they worked so hard on in Library this year, and boy were they excited to finally hold in their hands the proof that they are now published authors. Thanks, Ms. Cribbs, for creating this exciting project!
