This is your reminder that Trump and Republicans are spending billions of your tax dollars on an unauthorized war in Iran and Stephen Miller’s ICE agenda while gutting Medicaid, slashing SNAP, and driving up your health care costs.
Republicans cut food assistance for kids & ripped healthcare from millions—but found a way to give $70 billion to ICE with zero oversight.
Mothers, caregivers, and working women are left behind while Trump and Republicans push for more funding to terrorize immigrant moms and their kids.
.@SpeakerJohnson I hope Republican’s,
Independents and Democrats of good will realize how bad this speaker of the house is on the 250th anniversary of USA..vote him
Out!
Spanish lawmakers gave Pope Leo XIV a standing ovation after he called for respect for migrants’ rights and international law in a historic address to parliament that signaled a new level of acceptance of the Catholic Church in the overwhelmingly secular country.
SNAP enrollment has fallen sharply nationwide since the passage of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act last summer.
More than 3.5 million people have lost access to the food assistance as states implement new eligibility requirements and stricter application processes.
@WmBrangham has more.
The Endangered Species Act (ESA) has been a leading tool in preventing extinction, but it is under threat. Act with Shedd and urge your Congressional lawmakers to oppose harmful bills and proposed regulations that undermine the ESA! https://t.co/8YOIxZowlt
A rule change pushed by White House officials would slash benefits or end support for as many as 400,000 Supplemental Security Income recipients with Down syndrome, dementia and other disabilities whose parents or relatives receive SNAP benefits.

Your birth control is your right.
Today, 61 years after #SCOTUS decided Griswold v. Connecticut, RFC Members fighting harder than ever against Republican attacks on family planning, and we will never stand down.
Donald Trump and @HouseGOP: back off our birth control.
Saudi Arabia, Qatar, & the U.A.E. could soon influence:

Why? They’re dumping $24B into Paramount’s bid for Warner Bros.
We can't let countries with a record of censorship dictate what you watch. I’m pressing for accountability.
This is beyond outrageous.
A man caught on video storming the Capitol has no place in a sensitive counterterrorism role at the Pentagon.
op: @washingtonpost
This is really stupid, and it’s not getting enough attention.
The Trump administration is pulling a working $368 million ocean monitoring system out of the water, equipment taxpayers already bought, built, and sank into the deep ocean.
And they are doing it right when the oceans are behaving in ways that alarm the scientists who study them.
Record-breaking temperatures.
A system of Atlantic currents that may be lurching toward collapse.
The response?
Yank out the instruments and walk away.
That is not budgeting. That is smashing the gauges while the engine is on fire and calling it efficiency.
For what? The Trump administration dressed it up as a “nimbler approach” and “smart lifecycle management,” which is fancy nonsense for “we shut it off and hoped nobody would ask why.” There is no return-on-investment analysis. They cannot show taxpayers save a dime, because the gear is already paid for and the science it produces protects real money and real lives.
The kicker: the same people killing the monitors want to mine the deep sea for minerals. So they are destroying the only tools that could measure what that mining does. That is not an accident.
That is the point. You cannot see the damage if you break the instruments first.

The Supreme Court is expected to rule soon on two campaign finance cases that could forever change our elections.
@davidsirota explains how SCOTUS is about to legalize corruption.
Scientists across the country are expressing alarm as the Trump administration dismantles another tool for understanding how the planet is changing.
Starting this month, more than 900 deep-sea ocean sensors will be pulled out of the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans off the coast of Washington, Oregon, Alaska, North Carolina, and Greenland.
Researchers say these are critical ocean observation tools.
William Brangham (@WmBrangham) explains.
In the dead of night, Senate Republicans voted to protect Trump's corruption.
$1.8 billion MAGA slush fund for criminals
$70 billion for rogue ICE agents brutalizing our communities
Nothing to lower costs for families. All for Trump.
This changes in November when we flip the Senate.
