We’re wrapping it up here in Café 137. As the semester comes to an end, it was “who cut the cheese week”. Mac & cheese varietals on Tuesday and hot cheese appetizers on Friday. #famconsci, #makegoodstuff
It’s beginning to look like…The 7th Annual Holiday Cookie Smackdown! This week EF-1 = sugar cookies and, for the first time, EF-2 made gingerbread cookies. There were several close races! Congrats to all our winners and thanks to our judges!
How on earth did we get two weeks+ into December without a post?! It’s been busy busy busy in Cafe 137. We did some more bread work and stuffed pastas. Here’s a few highlights. Raviolis in brown butter basil sauce, tortellinis with fresh pesto, pizzas and calzones!
This week Grains as Mains! EF – one made Cuban red beans and rice, and EF – two made autumn quinoa salad with roasted veggies. 2 feet in the dinner column this week for sure!
This week - we’ve landed with 2 feet in dinner. Starting off with vegetables as both main and side dishes. And with 80° weather, in November, and all ovens on 450F for a majority of the day, you can bet it was a little warm in class today.
EF-2 crossing the threshold into lunch with Waldorf salad, loaded, baked potato stew, and gourmet grilled cheese with bacon and caramelized onions. Yum!
