Happy Monday! As we near the end of the semester I'm realizing how awesome it is to have technology to help us with our final projects, studying, and research.
We're almost done!!
Good luck on finals to all of you students and teachers out there :) #educ331@winey02
A6: I loved the idea that someone shared of "boxing" email time. I'll work on setting aside time to deal with emails, and not exceed it.
Then I'll carefully spend that extra preserved time on beneficial tasks, for myself and others. #resiliencechat
A5: Reading for fun. Pursuing things that I'm interested in with no strings attached except the satisfaction of my own personal curiosity. Absolutely life-giving. #resiliencechat
A5: I've decided to shun my phone for the first 30 mins of my day.
It sounds dumb, but it has been so helpful in allowing me to set up healthy morning routines without being bombarded by emails/messages/etc first thing in the morning.
They'll keep. ๐ #resiliencechat
@BrakeMatthew @saratruebridge Same! I feel like my time is often being wasted by unnecessarily tedious homework assignments when I could be doing so many other productive things. But That's how we get the degree I guess๐คทโโ๏ธ @resiliencechat
@DonnaMaccaroni I do this too! I need to be there at 6pm? Okay, that means driving there by 5:30, eating at 5, finishing other tasks by 4:45... Oh I guess I'm starting this at noon๐

A2: Today, a friend advised me about "guarding" my time. He said it's crucial for teachers to set aside a full day, or at least a protected 8 hours each week where you don't work. A seemingly subtle but necessary tool for stewarding time well. #resiliencechat
A2: I live by my Google Calendar for most of the year. It's a great tool for managing a chaotic schedule and making sure I can give people the time they deserve when meeting with them #resiliencechat
I just stumbled upon this idea of using "heroic story lessons" to make learning fun, and I love it! Looking forward to listening to more @MakeMathMoments podcasts during thanksgiving break. Give 'em a listen! #makelearningfun#pstpln#educ331

A4: My students! I know it's clichรฉ but there's just something so life-giving about watching young people develop into who they are going to be. They each were created with unique gifts and talents and there is a lot of joy in imagining how they will use them. #resiliencechat
A3: In general, I ask for and receive a lot of wisdom from others. The difficult part then becomes knowing who to trust, and whose advice to prioritize when sources conflict. #resiliencechat
