First week done! It was so nice to connect with our okd friends and meet our new friends. We read a lot of great books and had some great class discussions this week. Check out the photos to see what we learned and talked about this week. 😉
Happy ECE appreciation day to @MsFaria6. She does so much for our class and we are so appreciative of all you do today and everyday. Thank you just isn’t enough!!! 💕
A beautiful moment in class today! Here the students are waiting for an educator to give them instructions on what to do next. While waiting they are all sitting quietly and reading. #teacherwin#myheartismelting#kinderkids@MsFaria6
Today we continued our discussions on sorting. Students had an opportunity to work with socks & figure out different ways to sort. Some ways they came up with: superhero socks vs all others, striped socks vs others, they paired each into sets and finally one colour vs designs.
Our centres this week are spooktacular fun. Alphabet bones, Halloween pattern block designs, Halloween play dough cookies, write our friends names pumpkin edition and so much more @MsFaria6
Fall is upon us and it’s so awesome that we are able to use dry sensory bins again. This week students had an opportunity to go apple picking. They were encouraged to count how many apples they were putting into their basket #lovingfallbins#acornsapplespinecones@MsFaria6
It’s our open house tonight and boy do we have a treat for you. Thank you to Supreme Burger in Brampton and Funnel Cake dreams. Please come out and support these awesome vendors! Oh and of course come say hi to us too..🤪
Remembering children and families affected by Residential schools and colonization. Each day we learn and are reminded about the importance of ReconciliACTION. Let us continue to grow and honour the lives lost. #OrangeShirtDay#NationalDayForTruthAndReconciliation@MsFaria6
We love fall in our classroom and having fall themed centres is always so much fun for our students. Sensory bins-leaf soup and count the leaves. Other centres include make fall items with linking cubes, letter tracers and so much more @MsFaria6
Nothing beats fall and Halloween themed activities. Bone soup, letter matching, decorate a Halloween character and the ever popular beat the clock pop it edition. Who is the fastest popper? We have a fun filled few weeks ahead. Love this time! @MsFaria6
Teaching win!!! We have been learning about patterning this week and so many students were interested in using our bear manipulatives to practice making patterns on their own. No educator encouragement needed, they did it all on their own #mathlearningthroughplay@MsFaria6
We survived our first week…woot woot! It was so nice meeting our new JK friends and having our SK friends be such wonderful role models. Here’s a snapshot of our week. #kinderthings#weekataglance@MsFaria6
Day two down! 😀It was so nice to meet some our first year Ss and their families. We can not wait to meet more of our new friends tomorrow!!! Today we read the story, “K is for Kindergarten” and thought of some learning goals. It is going to be a great year!
Such a “super awesome” day! We started off the morning talking how we were feeling on our first back at school. Then we talked about our Summer vacation and read the story “Our class is a family.” Our Ss came up with such sweet answers on how to make each other feel like family.
