@missbilich I tell my kiddos “practice makes progress”, especially in math. Math takes practice, you won’t get it the first time. But as you practice, you get better!
@L_D_Washington No parties, but plenty of pajamas this week! Also, how come whenever we have spirit days, it ALWAYS a day where I have to run errands right after school
First day for staff at my new school tomorrow!!! And I have to miss it cause I have COVID🙃 But it’s the last day of my quarantine so I can still go Tuesday and the rest of the week. I hate being new and this is gonna make it so much harder
Had a PD presenter share on how to use Virtual Reality with our students in reading. Takes me back to @amandalicastro class at @StevensonU and my first experience with VR. I’m excited that more educators are tapping in to this amazing tool, especially at the elementary level.
Had my teacher specialist spend the day with me (so her and my principal would know how to best support me) and she tells me at the end of the day that it was a great day and I’m doing things well. She has some suggestions but overall it was a good day I couldve cried happy tears
@k8roulette2 40?! Bless you. I’m struggling with 20, but Im also a new(ish) teacher still trying to figure out everything. Year 3 in a pandemic when year 1 and 2 were in a pandemic is no fun.
@amandalicastro After taking your classes at Stevenson I have dreamed about being able to use VR with my elementary students. Especially teaching 5th grade next year, I would love to give them that experience.
I’ve been feeling so overwhelmed and this is exactly what I needed. So great to connect with these amazing people again! @bkobett@SteveSchoolofED @msbielot @mskslittlerays
My 💜 is singing! Stevenson University Beginning Teacher Community meets to share successes, support one another, and offer advice for hybrid teaching. @StevensonU@SteveSchoolofED
@msdowns19 Yes always! That just shows you are always thinking about your students needs. I love seeing all your tweets about teaching. You have become such a great teacher!
@amandalicastro@DrBiden My 4th graders and I watched part of it this morning. I love how interested they were; class was over and they wanted to stay and watch more with me!
I have a message for all the little girls and boys out there who dream of growing up to be superheroes: Superheroes walk among us.
They’re teachers, doctors, scientists, vaccine researchers—and you can grow up to be like them too.
