Settlements were well represented at the AB Legislature today along with @Richard4Alberta & @ABDanielleSmith for the unveiling of the new monument in the Legislature’s Reconciliation Garden in honour of residential school survivors and those who never returned.

MSGC Executive we’re deeply saddened to learn that long-serving Council member and Elder Archie Collins from Elizabeth Metis Settlement passed away earlier this evening in hospital. His leadership spanned decades and his impact across our communities is deep.

We are thankful to have Laurie Thompson sharing her passion for teaching. And we are honoured to have Floyd Thompson joining the booth to share his wisdom and Settlements' historical knowledge with guests as well.
The MSGC team is going on tour! We are out to each Settlement to highlight our economic development programs, including greenhouse demo builds, how to get started in the SPI Program and Student Training Initiatives, and information on harvesting rights.
