Student teachers, recess poets, origami engineers, CIA masters — 5th grade didn’t just learn this week, they LED. The board became a stage, recess a poetry lab, the teacher's desk a throne, and students analyzed a text written by a previous student @DmeElemRisd. #RISDDreamBig

5th grade is really digging our novel study so far. We're making cross-curricular connections and trying new things in conjunction with our reading @DmeElemRisd. This week we also enjoyed developing new writing ideas, presenting research, and QSSSA partner work. #RISDDreamBig

5th grade had a blast with team building and establishing routines to set us up for growth @DmeElemRisd. We've enjoyed reading a bit of Sherlock Holmes, while refreshing our reading comprehension skills, spending time in our writing journals, and diving into PEGS. #RISDDreamBig

5th grade is gearing up for an awesome year of growth @DmeElemRisd. We kicked off the year with the enneagram, set up our reading journals, cracked open our dictionaries, wrote stories, played team phonics & grammar games, and launched a rocket with Mr. Cistulli. #RISDDreamBig

Ever taken a wonder walk? We got our blood pumping, our senses engaged with the natural world, and our creativity flowing. Then we got to write about it. Great way to end Q3 with my @DmeElemRisd third graders. #RISDBeTheOne
