Before the snowpocalypse hit Texas, @LukichKari@CoachRyanBurum and I were having our classes dig through Finch data from the Galápagos Islands to defend which method of evolution they believed caused the Finches to change in size from 1976-79. #HMSproud#ArgumentDrivenInquiry
While I forgot to get a picture during my face to face classes, I did snap these as I read to my virtual class. Happy #WorldReadAloudDay#ReadFISD
We had great conversations about adaptations! @SaraMRiley
Loved hearing 7th grade science talk about their skeletal muscle lab rotation model! It’s so fun to take the students outside and a great idea to have some parts individual and some whole group. @LukichKari@MsGoodScience#campusbadges#HMSproud
Today, in our science department meeting, @LukichKari and @MsGoodScience shared her method for reassessments. She talked about administering reassessments orally so that she can do responsive differentiation for her students. So helpful! #CampusBadges#HMSProud
Great job with this playlist 7th grade science! Having a playlist is a great tool for review because students can move through it at their own pace using interactive lessons like in this nearpod. @LukichKari@MsGoodScience#campusbadges#HMSproud
8th grade science did an awesome job with the station rotation model over physical and chemical changes! They had students make observations before and after the experiment! @CLongScience @MrSpear7 #HMSproud#campusbadges
Today I had a face to face student and a virtual student from another campus ask if I could come to their last football games. Did I choose one over the other? No, I drove across town during halftime to watch half of each. #teachingin2020
We were able to get outside recently and enjoy the nice weather while completing some whole group stations over the skeletal & muscular systems. After testing our voluntary & involuntary muscles, students completed a flipgrid to reflect on their learning. #HMSproud#campusbadges
During advisory, I asked my students what character at school means to them.
One wise student said, “Having character at Hunt Middle School means being confident, being the best you can be, being kind, and always willing to learn more.”

My teaching partners for the day! They were glad the district internet is down and they get to meet all my students via zoom! #HMSproud#StrongerTogether
