It is with heavy hearts that we pause to reflect on the passing of our friend and colleague in the Mississippi House of Representatives, State Representative Price Wallace.
Price served in the House for nine years and cared deeply about his constituents in Rankin and Simpson County. As Chairman of the House Constitution Committee, he led on landmark legislation such as restoring the Ballot Initiative that the House passed numerous times. He believed in restoring the constitutional right for Mississippians to have a fair and accessible means of influencing state policy.
A poultry farmer and constant advocate for Mississippi agriculture – Price was a proud Republican and an asset to our state. He was always so proud of his kids and certainly enjoyed the title of granddaddy. We will miss our friend in the House. Please join me in keeping his wife, Cindy, and his family in your prayers. A good man, may he rest in peace.

Democrats are getting called out after trying to quietly delete a Memorial Day post that politicized fallen U.S. service members to take a jab at President Trump.
The post, made from the official Democrats account, originally featured a photo of the 13 service members who died in the ongoing war with Iran and was captioned “REMEMBERING THE AMERICANS WHO HAVE DIED IN TRUMP’S WAR WITH IRAN.”
Critics originally described the partisan post as “vile” and “disrespectful” as a new wave of scrutiny is calling out the party for trying to sweep the backlash under the rug.
Freedom isn’t free. Today, we honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our country and freedom.
God bless America. Have a happy and safe Memorial Day. 🇺🇸
A suspect was killed after opening fire on a Secret Service checkpoint outside the White House Saturday evening, a Secret Service spokesperson told CBS News in a statement.

Slim, are you not embarrassed by your “unbiased journalism”?
This triggered “journalist” & @CDispatch aren’t even hiding their political affiliation. The Golden Triangle deserves better.
