Today in class we practiced read to self after book browsing some of the classroom book bins! Students continued to read or work on mindfulness coloring as a debrief time after lunch 📚
I am extremely excited to start the 2022-2023 school year! My role looks a bit different this year as I am now a 2nd grade teacher. I am SO grateful for this opportunity and new journey. I am looking forward to posting some new and engaging content from my classroom ✏️ #6days
English teachers: Are you giving students opportunities to read and write? Are you gathering some forward momentum? Are you posing questions with the potential to intrigue? Giving feeback? Then you're doing great. Ignore that this year doesn't feel like past years.
Lately I’ve been enjoying the song, Be a Light by Thomas Rhett. After repeatedly listening (because it’s a jam😆) I realize it’s not the catchy beat that captured me most, but the meaningful/ relevant words. I love the impact of music ️
This time away from my students has really allowed me to reflect on and appreciate the time that we spent together this school year! For now, I focus on positive thoughts and hoping to return to my sixth grade family soon❤️☺️
