True freedom means every girl can understand her body, manage her period with dignity, and stay in school all month long.
Periods are normal. Let's keep breaking the silence.
#UgandaAt64
Today, we throw it back to last year’s Annual Youth Symposium, where young people came together to exchange ideas, share experiences and shape conversations on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). From youth-led advocacy to meaningful dialogue, the symposium created space for young voices to influence the issues that affect them.
As we look back, we celebrate the energy, ideas and commitment of young people driving change in SRHR. #SRHR4All
#UniteForGirls is a call to invest in girls not only with resources but with education, protection, mentorship, opportunities and the freedom to imagine a different future.
When we invest in girls, we strengthen families, communities and generations.

Climate change disrupts menstrual health by harming WASH infrastructure, altering supply chains, and worsening inequalities.
We, especially policymakers, must all recognize menstrual health as vital to gender-responsive climate justice.

Sometimes, meaningful change begins with a single conversation.
One-on-one sessions at community events offer safe spaces to listen, understand needs, share accurate information, & connect people to support.
Well-being starts when everyone’s voice is heard.

Happy Teachers' Day to the ones who taught us ABC and then taught us life too. 🥹
You marked our mess, endured our noise, and still believed in us.
We see you 💛
#WorldTeachersDay2026
This October, we are not just celebrating girls, we are standing up for their rights and their futures.
October is a significant month for the girl child and this year’s International Day of the Girl Child theme, “End child marriage and invest in girls’ rights”, speaks directly to the work that we do. From preventing child marriage and teenage pregnancy to supporting education, strengthening girls’ voices and creating safe spaces, the work is about ensuring girls have the opportunity to grow, learn and thrive.
As we prepare for the 4th #UniteForGirls on 6th October, let’s turn celebration into action by listening to girls, protect their rights and invest in their dreams.
🩷As we step into October, we celebrate the potential of every girl and young woman.
Together, let's continue creating a future where every girl can dream without limits and achieve without barriers.

The Forum provides a platform for sustained parliamentary leadership, accountability and policy action on menstrual health and hygiene in Uganda.
Today’s engagement is focused on strengthening collective action around policy, financing, oversight and accountability to advance menstrual health and hygiene across Uganda. @FJS
